Michelle Rhee and StudentsFirst Push Agenda 21: Communizing America’s Schools

leave a comment »

Who is Michelle Rhee?
Michelle Rhee was the Chancellor of the Washington DC School System. She was given free reign by then Mayor Fenty. She implemented many changes including a controversial program call IMPACT which used standardized testing results to evaluate “value-added” teachers. Her successor has sought a probe into a possible cheating scandal involving a high rate of erasure markings on student tests. One has to wonder what impact IMPACT had on the testing results. hmm.

Who is Mayor Kevin Johnson?
Kevin Johnson is a retired NBA player turned Mayor of Sacramento. He and Rhee were recently married. Among his varied business dealings he founded the St. Hope Academy in 1989. In 2003, St. Hope formed St. Hope Public Schools, an independent charter school system. In 1995 he was accused of Sexual assault and tendered a proposed settlement agreement which would have paid the girl’s family $230,000. The DA decide not to prosecute the case on the grounds that a conviction was unlikely. Another charge involving a 2007 incident with a high school student caused a teacher to resign over the investigation tactics employed by the school administrators which included intimidation of the victim and inappropriate requests of the resigning teacher in whom the student had confided. In 2009, St Hope Academy agreed to a settlement involving payment in excess of $400,000 amidst allegations that it did not appropriately spend AmeriCorps grant money.

About StudentsFirst
Policy Agenda

The third objective under StudentsFirst’s own Policy Agenda pushes Agenda 21’s Sustainability angle.

Districts should use resources efficiently to ensure sustainable spending that puts students first. Districts should be managed through structures that ensure a focus on student results rather than adult interests.

Let’s take a look at these new governance structures. She wants to implement mayoral control or state-run charter schools. Both of these suggestions remove parental control by dismantling the local school boards in favor of management by politicians who are less accessible or by private corporations. The name of the game is to remove your ability to impact change and to normalize the system. When I say normalize the system, I mean, make sure that any districts within the current system that have active parental involvement and have been successful in protecting the students from harmful policies will be stripped of their power so that the advantage can be neutralized. Agenda 21 is all about sacrificing individual rights in favor of collective rights. While the Wetlands program implements this philosophy in the industries involving raw materials, the Rhee Solution implements this same philosophy in the education arena.

School Choice is pushed as a solution to inequality. It is argued that wealthy parents have a choice but the poor do not. Rhee is only interested in a choice among government sanctioned institutions.  Her organization seeks to pour public funds into private institutions, to promote voucher systems, and to build charter (corporate) schools. This is a facade. It looks like choice but it is the federalization of all the existing options and it is a communization of the entire system. Once all school options share a common funding source, they will also share a common curriculum and a common regulatory and legal liability.

Obama Birth Certificate Found To Be Fake

with 7 comments

An official investigation conducted by a cold case posse of trained investigators sought to validate the long form birth certificate of President Barack Hussein Obama that was released by the White House in response to Mr. Donald Trump’s public demands. This release was accompanied by a televised speech by our president in which he confirmed its authenticity. The attempt to confirm the contents of the long form birth certificate quickly disintegrated as the electronic version of the document contained anomalies which made it virtual impossible to confirm that a hardcopy counterpart was the source of the document. In fact, the detailed forensics analysis has produced enough evidence to suggest probable cause that a forgery and a fraud has been committed. There was no information released as to who was suspected of these felonies and there has been no conclusion drawn with respect to the president’s eligibility to serve in the oval office. The only conclusion that can be drawn is that the White House released Long Form Birth Certificate is insufficient documentation for the purposes of validating that President Barack Hussein Obama is a natural-born citizen. I am posting the video content that was on display for the media at the public press conference which was held in conclusion of the preliminary investigation. It is not yet known what course additional investigations may follow nor who may take on the responsibility of continuing the investigation.

Additional Reference: A Question of Eligibility A 32 Page PDF Document that explores the many facets of President Obama’s life narrative in light of the eligibility question.

Trackback: Here is my previous post which expressed my own reservations about this document within a week or two of its release.

Is Jeb Bush Waiting in the Wings?

with one comment

The GOP is running out of candidates to roll out for the 2012 nomination. I suppose it is possible that one of these candidates will catch on and bring home the nomination but it seems Romney, Gingrich, Paul and Santorum are in for a long run. Santorum or Newt could drop first but I expect Newt is in and Santorum is the likely candidate to drop next. It is quite possible that 3 or 4 candidates could advance to the GOP National Convention with no clear nominee. It’s been quite some time since the convention was brokered. 1948?

Now, I expect Newt Gingrich and Mitt Romney to continue to pummel each other in the press and Ron Paul will be largely ignored. It could be that neither of the establishment darlings will be appealing to enough delegates and we know the GOP leadership is not going to let Ron Paul get the nomination.  Enter Jeb Bush.

Remember, the Convention is in Tampa Bay Florida, a strong-hold of the Bush Family and ex-governor Jeb Bush. Under this scenario, the GOP will not have to expose its nominee to the attacks that each of their previous darlings have had to endure. The party could simply slip a compromise candidate out there and line up all their cronies under the “party loyalty” pressure tactic.

I have a sinking feeling in the pit of my gut that we could be staring at an Obama vs. Bush general election. Let’s hope that is not the case.

Newt Gingrich: False Conservative

leave a comment »

It’s hard to beleive how many candidates the media has pulled out and promoted as a front-runner candidate for the 2012 GOP presidential nomination. All the while, Ron Paul continues to get the cold shoulder in the major media even as his campaign begins to really gather steam. Romney has been a favorite from the beginning with his teflon personality and plastic mug shot a favorite among the news pundits. Perry was a flash in the pan, followed by a seriously flawed Cain and now Newt Gingrich is back on stage. Newt Gingrich is a very dangerous alternative. I am providing a video recap of who Newt Gingrich is and a collection of articles recapping his pro-establishment career.

America: Don’t Let the Media Pick Your President Again

leave a comment »

In the 2008 campaign, we were bombarded with the “Yes We Can” message of Barack Obama. Now in the 2012 campaign we hear “Ron Paul Can’t Win”. Where have I heard that before. Oh, I know. It was 60 years ago, the last time a main-line, grass-roots, well-organized Republican Candidate with a bona fide chance to win the white house ran on a NON-INTERVENTIONIST platform. I am speaking of Robert Taft.

You see, if wall street is threatened by a candidate they simply ignore them in the press or outright attack the candidate. The democratic party under Woodrow Wilson really exacerbated the Interventionist foreign policy. After WWI the people elected three consecutive Republican presidents as there was considerable backlash to the war. Even FDR ran under the pledge to keep America out of the European Wars.

By the time the election of 1952 rolled around, the democrats had controlled the white house for 20 consecutive years under an interventionist foreign policy which included entry into WWII and a foray into the Korean War without congressional declaration. It was Robert Taft who ran a campaign to end the insanity and revert back to the pre WWI foreign policy that the United States was founded upon. The destruction of the Taft Campaign damaged the conservative wing of the Republican Party. Eisenhower, Nixon, and Reagan were all by-products of the Eisenhower victory. Ford and the Bushes were an indirect result. The interventionist foreign policy of the democrats was adopted. We have had 60 years of bi-partisan foreign policy and it is time to break the grip of Wall Street.

War is money, and the Wall Street bankers stood to make a lot of money by financing both sides of future wars. They were not about to let Taft rain on their parade. The press got rolling once Eisenhower was convinced to join the race for the Republican nomination. We see the same pattern today. Rick Perry joined the race and the “Ron Paul Can’t Win” mantra has started. Do you think there is any animosity between the Wall Street bankers and Ron Paul? One of his key platform issues is for ending the Federal Reserve system.

I was able to dig up some source documentation. Take a look at the attached articles. They reveal the attitude of the New York Times towards Robert Taft and the campaign to derail his nomination bid. We must learn from history.

*** UPDATE *** See Time Magazine 9-5-2011 Article: Ron Paul Prophet. Aparently Time is right on cue with an attempt to discredit Dr. Paul. Unfortunately I do not have access to the article as I do not subscribe to the rag.
